My current project has been a fiction. I was sitting with my mom one day playing rummy, as we usually do, and this crazy idea came into my head. Why not write a book and see what happens. I am by no means a writer so I figured what the heck, it can't hurt to try.
So I started with an outline in April and one thing led to another. Now, it is December and I have set a deadline to self-publish the book by Christmas. So far, I'm on track. Deadlines are good for writers or at least for me. I have heard many times that people work on books for many years. Well, I want to get on to the next project so I set a deadline for myself.
It'll take some marketing time to get my book noticed so it may be awhile until my next project starts but I'm always thinking about what to write about next. I haven't decided if it will be another novel, a short story, or a non-fiction. I might go another route this time while I wait for feedback on my first novel. It will be a good learning experience to correct any issues that might be found.
